Blog The Week #1

The main topics of my video are the use of Photoshop and the representation of body image. This is a really broad subject which covers lots of very different subjects so I wasn't to sure what to focus on in my research. In order to help me narrow down what I was going to research I used this hand out created by my tutors. It visually shows you how you can find topics you want to cover in research that are connected to your main idea. I found this really useful, as usually when researching a broad idea I find it difficult to figure out where to start as there is so much to research.

Review of last weeks work

I think the weeks work was really useful for me as I mainly experimented with Photoshop so I could get used to the programme again and see what looked good. This has been very beneficial for my project as I have developed my skills in Photoshop which I plan on using in my final piece. It was a bit difficult for me at the start as I hadn't used Photoshop for quite a while so I was struggling at the start because I would forget to add new layers or how to change settings. However, after a while I got used to it again.

I finished my proposal pretty early on as I already had a firm idea of what I wanted to do for my FMP and what I hope it will look like. However I redid my time planner as I wanted to add in some time to do some practice videos which meant I had to switch some things around.
