Practice Editing Techniques

From the practice edit of my FMP I realised that I hadn't put anything at the climax of the song, it was just the same shots happening. I wanted to make the video match the rising intensity of the song so I had the idea of having two similar shots playing at the same time and flashing between the two. You can see an example of the technique I plan to use below.

I had two shots that I wanted to use for this part of the video so I quickly edited together an example of the two shots.

I definitely prefer the first one because it looks better as the two shots are more similar. The second one doesn't work for me because one shot is moves more than the other so it doesn't really match up.
