TTTFF: The Making of - Final Piece and Evaluation
Here is my finished version of the TTTFF documentary.
I also edited a longer version to submit to the Transition Town Totnes Film Festival.
Overall I'm happy with the final result of this project as well as the process we went through to achieve it. I thought that our group worked really well together and we all had an equal part to play in the project. This was my first project where I properly used sound equipment so I was a bit worried that we would get it wrong or it wouldn't work but I think we did a good job and the sound quality is good. Even though we worked as a group we all took on different roles and swapped them round at each interview we did so each of us got to use the different equipment and be the interviewer. This meant that we all worked in each role of a crew and learnt how to use everything. I was surprised at how much freedom we got to create the documentary, although we were told what to make it about we got to choose who we interviewed, what we filmed and how the final edit would look like. The most important thing I learnt from this project was to be able to make something for someone I have never met before and have the chance to interview people and put myself forward as a professional film maker. This is because one of our edits was shown at the festival and this was a weird experience for me because this was the first time my work has been shown in a public setting.
