Production Diary -What Went Wrong/Changing My Idea

The past weeks have been really unproductive for me as I had initially planned to start filming for the trailer and short film as well as take pictures for the poster I wanted to make as my final pieces for this project. However I was really busy through these weeks completing work for my side project for Ocean Housing. When I managed to finish the work I needed to do I organised several filming dates and then approaching these dates one of the actors thats had agreed to be in the film as the main character could no longer be in the video due to a variety of reasons. This was really worrying for me as the deadline for this project is only a few weeks away and I highly doubt I can finish all the work I wanted to make for this project to the quality I would want. I have therefore decided to stop work on this project and solely focus on my work for Ocean Housing, this was a difficult decision for me as I was really looking forward to making this short film as I think the idea was really good and the main topic of the film - dementia - has been severally unrepresented in films. However I knew that I needed to put the commercial work as a main priority as this would ultimately help me in the future securing freelance work or a full time position in a company.
